Together towards building a New India

Know Your India

India is a place of huge contradictions. There is extreme poverty in the country and also huge wealth. There is lack of schools and teachers and there are also world class educational institutions. There is shortage of food and yet millions of tonnes of food is wasted each year. Some of our hardest and most ambitious of works is in these fault lines. Our people use the best technologies and innovations to meet the challenges of today for a better tomorrow, in the world's oldest living civilisation.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

Our Trust is working towards the vision of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and all our core programs and focus areas are geared towards meeting the SDGs in India. Most humanitarian and aid organisations agree that India is critical in meeting the SDG challenge. Our Offices and volunteers are thus some the most dynamic and innovative people working in the field and our greatest strength in meeting the challenge of tomorrow.

If India Succeeds, the World Succeeds

THE NEW URBANISATION

Indians are on the move. Our in-depth study and analysis across the vastness of the Subcontinent show that as India achieves a middle-income economy, demographic & population shifts is underway. Millions of people are moving away from ancestral villages & hamlets, abandoning generations of traditions and adopting new ones. What will these new challenges bring? Is India ready? Our field researches & scientists are dedicated to solving this puzzle.

Solving the Great Indian Migration Paradox

LOOKING AHEAD of CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change and global warming are having a profound effect on what we do and how we prepare to meet future challenges. With coastal communities in danger of constant flooding and severe drought situation in the interior, the nature of climate change is affecting food and water flows everywhere. With the help of the Government and local authorities, our people work with local communities in not only meeting their basic needs but also eventually preparing them for the future.

Water is the future. Everything is changing with the value of water

GROUNDED REALITIES

Un-employment and lack of jobs are huge challenges facing India. While the young population provides an unprecedented advantage, a demographic time bomb is also building as increasing number of youth are unable to find adequate quality jobs in the marketplace. Our work is focussed around such issues including child labour and manual scavenging are sensitive issues that have to be dealt with in a sensitive manner. Therefore for these programs we need the very best of people.
